WhiteSands Alcohol and Drug Rehab Offers More Than 25 Outpatient Locations Throughout Florida

Outpatient Addiction Treatment is Vital to Success in Recovery

WhiteSands Treatment offers numerous outpatient offices located throughout Florida, providing aftercare, relapse prevention, and Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) in a supportive and caring environment. When patients have been discharged from one of our residential treatment centers in Tampa, Plant City, or Fort Myers, and are ready to re-enter everyday life, they are encouraged to seek continued support through our outpatient programs.

We have over 25 outpatient offices throughout Florida and can arrange for individuals to pursue their aftercare support at any one of them. Once patients have completed their inpatient program, their primary therapist will arrange preventative services through one of our locations that is closest to you.  This convenience allows patients to have easy access to ongoing care as they transition back to life in their hometown after inpatient programs.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call WhiteSands Alcohol and Drug Rehab today at 877.969.1993 to learn how we can help.

The outpatient offices provide various programs such as aftercare support, relapse prevention, 12-step meetings, and coping mechanism sessions. All our outpatient offices also serve as Suboxone clinics for those in need of Medically Assisted Treatment as they recover from opioid addiction.  The most critical time for individuals to seek help is right after exiting their inpatient treatment program when they are first adapting to life as a sober individual. During this time, relapse rates are at their highest, which is why it’s critical these patients get the extended help they need to stay on the right track in their recovery.

What is Outpatient Treatment and Why is it Essential to Long-Term Recovery?

Outpatient treatment programs are designed for individuals who have completed their residential treatment and are re-entering the everyday world. Our outpatient offices allow individuals to conveniently access the medication Suboxone if they are using Medically Assisted Treatment to support their recovery and prevent relapse. They also allow our community to attend therapy and counseling sessions several times per week during the day.  These sessions are similar to what patients experienced in their inpatient treatment, the only difference is, they go home at the end of the day.

These types of outpatient programs can last several months, and we encourage recovering addicts to continue to seek support through outpatient services such as Alcohol Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous groups for as long as they need to.

Outpatient services have proven to be a precious resource for those in active recovery. Some critical factors that play into the success of outpatient treatment include:

  • Being dedicated to your sobriety
  • Removing yourself from toxic environments where you formerly used
  • Having a support system at home
  • Committing yourself to consistently attending aftercare treatment

The transition period between leaving residential treatment and returning to the regular world can come with its struggles and barriers. By attending our outpatient treatment program, the transition to recovery becomes more straightforward, and patients find themselves able to adapt to their new sober life with confidence and reassurance.

Some of the many benefits of attending outpatient treatment:

  • Outpatient offices make it easy to continue with Medication Assisted Treatment
  • Outpatient treatment ensures you have a supportive environment surrounding you
  • You’ll have opportunities for listening and learning from others who are going through similar situations
  • You’ll be able to actively engage in an aftercare community
  • Outpatient treatment provides ongoing encouragement and constructivism

It’s too easy to fall back into the pattern of addiction, as it is a disease that can only be managed and not cured. When individuals consistently maintain their sobriety, they are demonstrating an unwavering commitment and effort to sustain life-long sobriety.

By participating in aftercare programs through outpatient services, you engage with a community of individuals who come from a similar background of substance abuse and who are on the same path as you.

Preparing for Life After Treatment

The programs prepare individuals for real-life scenarios and provide the tools and resources necessary to re-enter the everyday world with self-assurance and resilience. The outpatient regimen here will help recognize specific patterns that may be risky and put your sobriety in jeopardy. When these dangerous patterns can be detected, individuals can take the right steps to ensure they do not fall back into addiction’s toxic sequence.
