PART I — OPT-IN CONFIRMATION SMS MESSAGE
Purpose and Regulatory Framework
The opt-in confirmation message below is designed to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227; the FCC’s implementing regulations at 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200; the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), 16 C.F.R. Part 310; CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices (current edition); and applicable state law requirements. The FCC’s consent revocation rules effective April 11, 2025 require that consumers receive clear revocation mechanisms in every opt-in confirmation.
Character Count Note
A standard SMS segment is 160 GSM-7 characters. Multi-part (concatenated) SMS messages are widely supported but may not deliver reliably on all carriers or may be billed as multiple messages. The confirmation message below is drafted to fit within 160 characters. PART II —TEXT / SMS MESSAGING POLICY
White Sands Treatment Center / Sunspire Health Florida d/b/a WhiteSands Alcohol & Drug Rehab

1. Introduction and Scope
This Text / SMS Messaging Policy (“Policy”) governs text and SMS messages sent by White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa, LLC and its affiliated entities operating as Sunspire Health Florida LLC d/b/a WhiteSands Alcohol & Drug Rehab (collectively, “WhiteSands,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to clients, prospective clients, and authorized contacts who have opted in to receive text messages from us.
This Policy is designed to comply with, and should be read in conjunction with, all applicable federal and state law including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and its implementing regulations; the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), 16 C.F.R. Part 310; CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices; and the FCC’s rules governing consent revocation as revised effective April 11, 2025.

3. Consent – How You Opt In
We only send text messages to individuals who have provided prior express written consent, as required under the TCPA and CTIA guidelines. Consent is obtained through one or more of the following mechanisms:
- A written or electronic consent form completed by the consumer at intake or during treatment.
- A verbal or written confirmation during the intake process, documented in the consumer’s file.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving treatment services or any other service from WhiteSands. You may receive services from us regardless of whether you opt in to text messaging.
4. Types of Messages We Send
Depending on your preferences and the services you receive, messages may include:
- Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations.
- Treatment updates and care coordination notices.
- Follow-up care information and post-discharge check-ins.
- Administrative and program information directly related to your care.
We do not send marketing or promotional messages without obtaining separate, specific consent for those message types. Messages sent under this program are transactional and care-related in nature.
5. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your care plan, appointment schedule, and the services you are receiving. You may receive up to several messages per week depending on your level of care. We will not send messages more frequently than is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in Section 4.
6. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Text messages sent by us are transmitted through standard carrier networks. Your mobile carrier may charge for incoming and outgoing text messages and for data usage. WhiteSands is not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier. Contact your mobile carrier if you have questions about your plan.
7. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages from WhiteSands at any time by any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. This is the primary opt-out mechanism.
- Reply QUIT, CANCEL, END, or UNSUBSCRIBE — these keywords also process as opt-out requests.
- Call us at 877-855-3470 and request to be removed from text messaging.
- Email us at [email protected] and request to opt out.
- Notify any WhiteSands manager in writing or verbally during a scheduled appointment.
Under the FCC’s rules effective April 11, 2025, you have the right to revoke consent by any reasonable means. We will honor all revocation requests, regardless of the method used, within 10 business days of receipt. After processing your opt-out, we may send a single final confirmation text to confirm that you have been removed from the program.
Opting out of text messages will not affect your ability to receive services from WhiteSands or communicate with us through other channels.

9. Supported Carriers
Our text messaging program is available on all major U.S. wireless carriers. WhiteSands is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Privacy and Confidentiality
All information collected in connection with our text messaging program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and, where applicable, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164. We will not share your mobile number or any protected health information with third parties for marketing purposes. Text messages may relate to your care and may contain information you have designated as confidential; please ensure your device is secured appropriately.
By opting in to text messages, you acknowledge that text messaging is not a fully secure communication channel. If you have concerns about the confidentiality of SMS messages, we encourage you to communicate with us by phone or in person.
11. Modifications to This Policy
WhiteSands reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. We will notify enrolled participants of material changes by sending a text message directing them to the updated Policy, or by other appropriate means. Continued participation in the SMS program following notice of a modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. The effective date at the top of this Policy reflects the date of the most recent revision.
